Peas Soup

Peas Soup

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 3


1 ½ cup peas

3 teaspoon corn flour

½ cup chopped onion

1 teaspoon garlic paste

1 inch ginger piece

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon sugar (optional)




Take peas, onion, garlic paste, ginger, 1 glass of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Let it cool. Mix it with a blender or in the mixer.

Now add 1 more glass of water and boil the soup. Add salt, pepper, sugar and let it boil. Take ¼ cup of water, add corn flour and mix it well. Add it to the soup and stir continuously to avoid lumps. Let it boil till it thickens.

Garnish it with basil leaves and serve it hot with bread toast, rice or pulav.
