![]() Preparation Time: 30 minutes Resting Time: 3 hours Cooking Time: 30 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients 2 cup maida/all purpose flour 2 teaspoon dry yeast 1 teaspoon sugar 1 cup warm water 2 tablespoon olive oil Salt Method Add yeast and sugar to warm water and keep it aside for about 5-7 minutes till it is frothy. Take a bowl. Add maida, salt, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and mix it well. Add yeast and mix dough with a wooden spatula. Sprinkle some flour on the work top and knead the dough for about 10-12 minutes till it is smooth and elastic. Grease the bowl with oil and put the dough inside. Grease the dough also. Cover it with a cloth or plastic wrap and keep it in a warm place for 2-3 hours till it almost doubles. Take out the dough and knead it again. Make balls and roll the ball into ¼ inch thick breads. You can bake in oven or on the cooking stove also. Preheat oven at 200 degree C. Put the bread on the baking sheet and bake it till it puffs. It takes about 5-7 minutes. Cover the baked ones with a cloth. Serve it with baba ghanoush or hummus. You can make pockets also and serve it immediately. |
