Raw Mango Pickle

Raw Mango Pickle

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

 

Ingredients

4 medium raw mango

4 teaspoon mustard seeds powder(rai kuria)

2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds powder(methi kuria)

4 teaspoon red chilly powder

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon asafoetida

Salt

4 tablespoon oil

 

Method

Peel the skin of the mangoes and cut into small pieces. Peeling the skin is optional. Add 2 teaspoon salt and put it aside for 4-5 hours. Drain the water after 5 hours.

Heat the oil and let it cool completely.

Take a bowl. Add mustard seeds powder, fenugreek seeds powder, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt and mix all the spices. Add oil to the spices mix. Add drained mango pieces and mix it well.

Fill it in the jar and stir it every day with a dry spoon till 3-4 days.

You can eat it on the next day or after 3-4 days.

Store it in an air-tight container.
