Cornflour-Fenugreek Crisps

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Serves; 3

Ingredients

1 cup cornflour

3 tablespoon maida (all purpose flour)

1 teaspoon ajwain seeds (carom seeds)

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

4 tablespoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

Salt

Oil for frying

To sprinkle

1 teaspoon salt

3 teaspoon black salt

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

 

Method

Take a bowl. Add cornflour, maida, ajwain, pepper, kasuri methi, salt, oil and knead soft dough. Add 1 teaspoon of oil and grease the dough.

Take a pan and heat oil. Take a gathiya maker, choose your mould and fill it up with the dough. Hold it on the pan and drop the crisps in the oil. Deep fry till it turns crispy.

Take it out and put it on the paper napkin to drain the oil. Sprinkle the mixture of black salt, salt and pepper.

Let it cool completely. Store it in an airtight container.
