Choco-Cheese Rolls

Choco-Cheese Rolls

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Makes 2 rolls


1 cup maida/all purpose flour

2 tablespoon castor sugar/powdered sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

A pinch of salt

Milk as required

1 cup grated cheese


For chocolate sauce

3 tablespoon chocolate powder

3 tablespoon cocoa powder

3 tablespoon castor sugar

3-4 tablespoon milk



Mix all the dry ingredients. Add milk gradually and knead the dough. Let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.

Mix chocolate powder, cocoa powder, sugar, milk in a pan and heat it to make chocolate sauce.

Make two balls from the dough. Roll the roti of about 8-9 inch diameter.  Spread chocolate sauce and sprinkle cheese.  Roll it slowly from the small side and at the end apply milk on the edge to pack the roll properly.  Prepare both the rolls.

Preheat oven and grease the baking tray. Grease both the rolls with butter and put it in the baking tray leaving some space in between. Bake it on 300 W + Grill (Microwave+Grill combo) for 10 minutes, till it turns light brown. 

Let it cool. Cut the rolls into small pieces and serve it.
