Choco-Bread Jamun

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 5

10 bread slices

½ cup grated/chopped chocolate

1cup sugar

½ cup milk

Oil for frying

Cut the edges of the bread slices. Take ¼ cup milk in a bowl. Cut the chocolate into small pieces.

Take a pan, add sugar and ½ cup water and boil it to make sugar syrup. Stir it till sugar dissolves in the water. Boil it till it starts thickening slightly. You can prepare before hand also and the make it warm when you make balls.

Take one slice of bread and sprinkle some milk with your hands to make it wet. Don’t put too much milk otherwise it will be too soggy. Press with your hands and remove excess milk if it more than we need. Take 3-4 small pieces of chocolate and put it in the centre of the bread. Cover it from all the sides and make a small ball. Prepare all the balls like these.

Take a frying pan and heat oil. Deep fry all the balls. Add all the balls to sugar syrup. Keep it for about 30 minutes. Your jamun is ready.

Garnish it with dry fruits of your choice and serve it. You can even put it in the refrigerator to make it cold.
