Schezwan Crisps

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 50 minutes

Serves: 5

Ingredients

1 ½ cup maida/all purpose flour

4 tablespoon butter

4 tablespoon schezwan sauce

1 teaspoon slightly crushed cumin seeds

Salt

Oil for frying

Method

Take a bowl. Add maida and butter and mix it with hands till it is mixed well. Add salt, cumin seeds, schezwan sauce and mix it well.  Add water as per the need and knead dough. Be careful while adding water as sauce is already added.

Make 4 balls from the dough and roll it about 12-14 inch diameter roti. Roll it into square shape or circle shape and cut it from 4 sides to make it square. Cut horizontally into about three inches strips. Then, cut diagonally to make triangles. Pierce it with fork or knife and let it dry for about 10-15 minutes.

Take a pan and heat oil. Deep fry triangles in small batches on medium flame till it is light brown and crispy. Put it on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Let it cool completely. Serve it immediately or store it in air tight container.
