Bateta Bhakharwadi (Potato Rolls)

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

For the dough

1 cup wheat flour

¼ cup maida (all purpose flour)

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

5 tablespoon cornflour

Salt

Oil

For the stuffing

4-5 big boiled potatoes

2 teaspoon ginger paste

3 teaspoon green chillies paste

1 teaspoon garam masala

2 teaspoon lemon juice

Salt

Oil for frying


Method

Take a bowl. Add wheat flour, maida, salt, black pepper, oil and knead dough.

Take a bowl. Peel the skin of boiled potatoes and mash it. Add ginger-green chillies paste, garam masala, salt, lemon juice and mix it well.

Make three balls from the dough. Roll the dough into 4 inch diameter. Spread the potato mixture on it and roll it like a cylinder.

Cut the cylinder into small rings/pieces. Same way roll other two dough balls and prepare wadis.

Take a pan and heat oil for frying. Press the cut side of the wadi into cornflour and deep fry in batches.

Serve it immediately with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
