Potato Dahi Vada

Serves: 4


6-7 big potatoes

1 cup rajgharo flour(amaranth flour)

5-6 finely chopped green chillies

2 teaspoon ginger paste

2 teaspoon red chilly powder


Oil for frying


For Dahi

3 cup dahi/curd/plain yogurt

6 teaspoon sugar

3 teaspoon grounded roasted cumin powder

2 teaspoon red chilly powder


Pomegranate seeds and coriander leaves for garnishing



Boil the potatoes, remove skin and mash it. Add salt, green chillies, ginger paste, red chilly powder and mix it well. Add rajgharo flour and mix it well.

Wet you hands, take about 2 teaspoon of mix and make small balls. Press it slightly to flatten it. Prepare all the tikkis.

Take kadai/frying pan and heat oil. Deep fry all the tikkis in batches.

Mix dahi with salt and sugar and keep it in the refrigerator to cool it.

For serving- keep tikkis at the bottom. Pour sweet dahi, sprinkle red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds and serve it immediately.
