Serves: 3


1 cup rice flour

3 cup water

3-4 finely chopped green chillies

1 teaspoon slightly crushed cumin seeds

1 teaspoon ginger paste

A pinch of soda bi carb


Oil to pour on the top

Fenugreek-Mustard powder masala



Take a pan, add water and boil it. Add salt, green chillies, ginger paste and soda bi carb.  As the water boils, lower the flame and add rice flour gradually stirring it continuously to avoid lumps. Switch off the gas stove. Let it cool slightly.

Grease your hands with oil and make small balls. Press it slightly to make tikkis. Steam cook it for 10-12 minutes in a steamer. 

Making different shapes attracts even children to eat it happily.

Pour some oil, fenugreek-mustard powder masala or red chilly powder on it and serve hot.

You can even cook it in microwave for 10 minutes. Cover the lid of the microwave safe bowl.
