Beetroot-Sprouts Patty Burger

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Serves: 3

Ingredients

6 burger buns

2 big tomatoes (cut into slices)

2 onions (cut into slices)

Few lettuce leaves (optional)

6 teaspoon mustard sauce (optional)

6 cheese slices

6 teaspoon tomato ketchup

3 teaspoon butter

For patties

4 big potatoes

1 big beetroot

1 cup moong sprouts

1 1/2 cup oats

3 teaspoon schezwan sauce

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Salt

Oil

Method

Boil potatoes and beetroot. Peel the skin and mash it. Steam moong sprouts and keep it aside.

Take a bowl. Add potato-beetroot mash, sprouts, salt, schezwan sauce, lemon juice, pepper and mix it well. Add oats and mix it well.

Take about 3 teaspoon mix and make small balls and flatten it to make tikkis. Grease your hand with oil or flour if it is difficult to ball it.

Take non-stick tawa and heat it. Add 2-3 teaspoon oil and place 3-4 tikkis on it. Cook on both the sides on low flame till it is light brown in colour. Make sure that flame is low otherwise it will burn. Same way cook all the patties in batches.

Cut buns horizontally from the centre. Take non-stick tawa and heat butter. Toast the buns on both the sides.

For serving - Arrange buns on the plate. Apply tomato ketchup, arrange cheese slice, beetroot patty, tomato and onion slices, lettuce leaves, mustard sauce and cover it with the other half part of the bun. Serve immediately.
