Chickpeas Makhana Chat

Chickpeas – Makhana Chat

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 3


1 cup boiled chickpeas

1 cup boiled and chopped potatoes

1 cup lotus seeds/makhana

1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

1/4 cup finely chopped onions

1 cup potato/aloo sev

1 teaspoon chat masala

1 teaspoon black salt

1 teaspoon jal jeera

1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder


1 cup green chutney

1 cup tamarind chutney

1 tablespoon ghee



Take a pan and heat ghee. Add makhana and roast it on low flame for about 5-8 minutes till it is crispy.

Take a bowl. Add chickpeas, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, chat masala, black salt, jal jeera, cumin powder, salt and mix it well.

For serving - put chickpeas mixture, about 2 tablespoon of makhanas, 1 teaspoon green chutney, 1 teaspoon tamarind chutney, sprinkle sev and serve it immediately.
