Beetroot-Sprouts Tikki/Patty

Beetroot-Sprouts Tikkies/Patties

Serves: 3


4 big potatoes

1 big beetroot

1 cup moong sprouts

1 1/2 cup oats

3 teaspoon schezwan sauce

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon lemon juice




Boil potatoes and beetroot. Peel the skin and mash it. Steam moong sprouts for 5-7 minutes and keep it aside.

Take a bowl. Add potato-beetroot mash, sprouts, salt, schezwan sauce, lemon juice, pepper and mix it well. Add oats and mix it well.

Take about 3 teaspoon mix and make small balls and flatten it to make tikkis. Grease your hand with oil or flour if it is difficult to ball it.

Take non-stick tawa and heat it. Add 2 teaspoon oil and place 3-4 tikkis on it. Cook on both the sides on low flame till it is light brown in colour. Make sure that flame is low otherwise it will burn. Same way cook all the patties in batches.

Serve it hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
