Cornmeal Sprouts Upma

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 3

Ingredients

2 cup cornmeal (makai ka atta)

1 cup moong sprouts

1 cup finely chopped onions

1/4 cup finely chopped green chillies

3 tablespoon fresh coconut powder (optional)

2 cup curd

2 cup water

5-6 curry leaves

Salt

2 tablespoon oil


Method

Dry roast cornmeal in microwave for 2 minutes or in the pan. Keep it aside.

Take a pan and heat oil. Add curry leaves, green chillies and stir for 2-3 times. Add onions and saute for about 2 minutes. Add sprouts and saute for 1 more minute. Add salt, curd, water and let it come to the boil.

Slowly add roasted cornmeal, stirring it continuously to avoid lumps.

Close the lid and let it cook on a low flame for about 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally.

Garnish it with sprouts and coconut and serve it immediately.
