![]() Preparation Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 15 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients 2 cup cornmeal/makai ka atta ½ cup peas ½ cup finely chopped carrots 1 cup finely chopped onions ¼ cup finely chopped green chillies ¼ cup finely chopped coriander leaves ½ cup curd ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon split black gram(white urad) 4-5 curry leaves Salt 1 tablespoon oil
Method Dry roast cornmeal in a pan or microwave for 3-4 minutes. This helps in cooking it fast. Take a pan and heat oil. Add cumin seeds, black gram, curry leaves and let it crackle. Add onions and sauté it for about a minute. Add carrots, peas, green chillies, salt and sauté it for a minute. Add 2 glass of water, close the lid and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes. Check it out in between to see if it is done. Add curd when it is almost done. Mix it well and let it come to a boil. Add cornmeal, mix it well, close the lid and cook it on a low flame for about 2-3 minutes. Stir it occasionally till it is done. Garnish it with coriander and serve immediately. |
