Idli Burger

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 3

Ingredients

6 big idlis

10-12 tomato slices

6 onion slices

1 cup green chutney

½ cup tomato ketchup

For spicy cabbage

1 cup shredded cabbage

1 teaspoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon powdered sugar

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Salt

For patties

2 cup mashed potatoes

1 cup finely chopped spinach

¼ cup arrowroot flour/tapkir

2-3 finely chopped green chillies

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Salt

2 tablespoon oil

 

Method

For spicy cabbage – Take a bowl. Add all the ingredients and mix it well. Keep it aside.

For patties – Take a bowl. Add mashed potatoes, spinach, salt, lemon juice, green chillies and mix it well. Add tapkir and mix it well.

Make small balls and slightly press it to make a patty. Prepare all patties.

Take a tawa/griddle. Drizzle some oil and shallow fry all the patties on both the sides.

For serving – Cut idlis into half horizontially. Apply tomato ketchup on both the sides and green chutney on it. Put patty on it. Arrange tomato slices and onion slices on it. Sprinkle cabbage and put other half of idli on it.

Serve it with salad and green chutney.
