2 cup oats
½ cup peas
½ cup finely chopped carrots
1 cup finely chopped onions
¼ cup finely chopped green chillies
¼ cup finely chopped coriander leaves
½ cup tomato puree
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon oil
Dry roast oats in a pan or microwave for 2-3 minutes.
Take a pan and heat oil. Add cumin seeds and let it crackle. Add onions and sauté it for about a minute. Add carrots, peas, green chillies, salt and sauté it for a minute. Add 2 glass of water, close the lid and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes. Check it out in between to see if it is done.
See that water is not too much. It should be slightly more than the vegetables. Add tomato puree when it is almost done.
You can add curd or lemon juice instead of tomato puree. Mix it well and let it come to a boil.
Add oats, mix it well, close the lid and cook it on a low flame for about a minute. Don’t mix it too much otherwise oats will break. Oats will soak the water and be ready.
Garnish it with coriander and serve immediately.
