![]() Spinach Dal Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 20 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients 2 cup split green gram (moong dal yellow) 2 cup spinach puree 1 teaspoon garlic paste 1 teaspoon cumin seeds ¼ teaspoon of asafoetida 4-5 curry leaves ½ lemon 3-4 green chillies Salt 2 tablespoon oil
Method Soak moong dal for about 30 minutes. Par-boil dal. Finely chop green chillies. Take a kadai(wok) and heat oil. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida and garlic paste. Stir it for 2-3 times. Add spinach puree and green chillies and let it simmer for about 1-2 minutes. Take out water from moong dal and add it. Add 1 glass of water and salt. Close the lid and cook for about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add lemon in the end. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, parathas or rice. |
