![]() Udad dal (Split white gram) Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients 3 cup split black gram 3 teaspoon garlic paste 1 cup tomato gravy 4-5 curry leaves 1 teaspoon cumin seeds ¼ teaspoon asafoetida 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 2 teaspoon red chilly powder 2 dry red chillies Salt 2 tablespoon oil Method Soak udad dal (Split Black gram) for about 15 minutes. Par boil dal. Take a kadai (wok) and heat oil. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, dry red chillies and curry leaves. Add garlic paste and tomato gravy. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and let it simmer for about 5-8 minutes. Add udal dal and let it cook for about 8-10 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot. |
