Bengal Gram-Peas Pulao

Bengal Gram-Peas Pulao

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4


3 cup cooked rice

1 cup Bengal gram (split)

1 cup boiled peas

4-5 finely chopped green chillies

½ lemon

1 teaspoon pepper


 2 tablespoon ghee/clarified butter



Soak Bengal split gram for about 2 hours.

Take kadai/wok and heat ghee. Add bengal gram and sauté it for about 3-4 minutes on a medium flame or till it is soft enough. Add peas, salt, green chillies, pepper, lemon juice and sauté it for 2 more minutes on a low flame. Add rice and mix it well and cook for about 2-3 minutes so that all the spices mix it well.

Serve it hot with any curry.
