![]() Preparation Time: 15 minutes Soaking Time: 1 hour Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients 1 cup rice 1 cup coconut milk ½ cup finely chopped onions ½ cup finely chopped spring onions ½ teaspoon ginger paste 1 teaspoon garlic paste 2 teaspoon green chillies paste ½ teaspoon ground white pepper Salt 2 tablespoon oil/ghee (clarified butter) Method Take a pan and heat oil. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies paste and sauté 2-3 times. Add onions and sauté it till it becomes translucent. Add ¾ spring onions, salt, pepper, coconut milk and let it come to a boil. Drain water from rice and add rice and ½ cup water and close the lid. Cook on a medium flame for about 5-7 minutes, till rice is done. Add more water if necessary. Garnish it with spring onion greens and serve it immediately. |
