Green Pigeon Pea-French Beans Rice

Green Pigeon Pea-French beans Rice

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Soaking Time: 3-4 hours

Ingredients

2 cup cooked rice

1/3 cup green pigeon peas/green tuver 

1/3 cup finely chopped French beans

¼ cup split yellow moong dal/yellow split gram

4-5 finely chopped green chillies

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon garlic paste

1 teaspoon crushed black pepper

Salt

2 teaspoon butter/oil

Mint leaves for garnishing

 

Method

Soak yellow moong dal for about 3-4 hours. Par boil pigeon peas and French beans.

Take a pan and heat butter. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and stir it for 2-3 times. Add moong dal, par boiled pigeon peas and French beans. Saute it for 2-3 minutes. Add green chillies, salt, black pepper and cook it for 1 more minute. Add rice and mix it well. Close the lid and cook it for about 5 minutes on low flame so that all the spices mix it well.

Garnish it with mint leaves and serve it hot with curd, raita or soup.
