![]() Crispy brinjal-bengal gram in tomato gravy Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 15 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients 4-5 brinjals (egg plant) 2 cup split bengal gram 1 cup tomato puree 1 teaspoon garlic paste 2 teaspoon red chilly powder 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon cumin-coriander powder 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon cumin seeds A pinch of asafetida Salt Oil Method Cut brinjal into long strips. Soak split bengal gram for about 30 minutes and boil it. Take a pan and heat the oil. Temper it with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafetida, garlic paste and stir it for 2-3 times. Add brinjal and saute it till it is crispy. Add boiled bengal gram and tomato puree. Add salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin-coriander powder and cook it for about 5-7 minutes. |
