Potato-Chickpeas Vegetable Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 15 minutes Serves: 4 Ingredients 1 ½ cup red chickpeas 2 big boiled potatoes 2 teaspoon garlic paste 1 teaspoon ginger paste 3-4 finely chopped green chillies 1 teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon aamchur powder (dry mango powder) 2 teaspoon red chilly powder 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 2 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon cumin seeds A pinch of asafoetida 1 lemon Salt 3 tablespoon oil Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method Soak chickpeas for 7-8 hours. Pressure cook for 5 whistles. Make small pieces of boiled potatoes. Take a pan and heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, garlic-ginger paste, green chillies and stir it for 2-3 times. Add chickpeas, potatoes, and stir it. Add salt, aamchur powder, garam masala, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice and mix it well. Add 2-3 teaspoon of water. Cook it on medium flame for about 4-5 minutes. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it hot with roti, puri or paratha. |
