![]() Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 20 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients 2 cup rajma/kidney beans 2 cup tomato puree 2 cup finely chopped onions 2 teaspoon garlic paste 2 teaspoon ginger paste 5-6 finely chopped green chillies ½ teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon garam masala ½ teaspoon cinnamon-clove powder 2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon ajwain/carom seeds 4-5 curry leaves ½ teaspoon asafoetida 3 tablespoon oil
Method Soak rajma for about 7-8 hours. Pressure cook for 5 whistles. Drain the water. Take pan and heat oil. Add cumin seeds, ajwain, curry leaves, asafoetida, garlic-ginger paste and stir it for 2-3 times. Add onions and sauté it for 3-4 minutes till it turns light brown. Add tomato puree, salt, pepper, garam masala, cinnamon-clove powder, green chillies and cook it for about 4-5 minutes. Add rajma and cook it for about 4-5 minutes on medium flame. If it is too thick then add 1 glass of water. Serve it hot with rice, roti or paratha. |
