Add maida, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and sieve it. Add half of the almonds, curd, vanilla essence, vegetable oil and mix it well. Add water gradually and mix it again. Grease baking dish and dust it with maida. Pour the batter in the dish and sprinkle remaining almonds. Pre heat oven, bake at 180 degree C for 30-35 minutes, or till it is done. After 30 minutes check it by inserting the knife in it, if it comes out clean then it is ready, if not then bake for 5-7 minutes more. Let the cake cool. Invert the tray over the plate and tap the tray to remove the cake.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on the top and serve it. |
