1 cup farali flour

½ cup sugar

2 tablespoon + 6 tablespoon ghee/clarified butter

1 teaspoon cardamom powder/elaichi

½ teaspoon nutmeg powder/jaiphal

Pinch of saffron/kesar

Take a bowl. Add flour, oil and mix it. Add water and knead soft dough. Keep it aside.

Take a pan and heat 2 tablespoon of ghee. Add mashed potato and stir it occasionally till about 5 minutes. Add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron, nutmeg powder and cook it till it thickens into a mixture. Let it cool slightly.

Make small balls from potato mixture.

Take the dough and make small balls from it. Dip into flour and roll it about 2 inch diameter. Put one potato ball and cover it with dough from all the sides. Roll it with hand and make a ball. Slightly press it with hand, dip into flour and roll it about 3 inch diameter.

Take a non stick tawa/griddle and heat it. Roast it on both the sides till brown spots appear and it turns into light brown colour. Apply ghee on it. Same way prepare all puranpolis.
