American Chop Suey
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
3 cup boiled noodles
1/4 cup finely chopped french beans
1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/4 cub shredded cabbage
1/2 cup juliennes of carrots
1/2 cup juliennes of capsicum/bell peppers
2 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoon green chillies paste
½ tablespoon ginger paste
½ tablespoon garlic paste
2 tablespoon vinegar
3 tablespoon red chilly sauce
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon corn flour
½ cup tomato ketch up
2 cups of water
Deep fry half of the boiled noodles and keep it aside on kitchen towel to remove excess oil.
Take a bowl. Add all the ingredients of sauce and mix it well. Keep it aside.
Take a pan and heat oil. Add ginger-garlic-green chillies and stir it for 2-3 times. Add onions and spring onions and saute it for about 1 minute. Add cabbage, carrots, french beans and saute it for 3-4 minutes on high flame. Add capsicum and cook it for 1-2 more minutes. Finally, add sauce and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add boiled noodles and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
You can adjust the amount of gravy you want.
For serving - Take a plate. Pour vegetable noodles and top it up with fried noodles.
Serve it immediately.
