Cheesy Rolls with Dates Spicy Dip

Cheesy Rolls with Dates Spicy Dip

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 3


12 bread slices

1/2 cup butter

1 ½ cup grated cheese

¼ cup chopped mint leaves

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

For batter

½ cup all purpose flour/maida

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper


Oil for frying

For Dates Spicy Dip

1 cup chopped seedless dates

1 bay leaf

1 teaspoon coriander seeds

½ inch cinnamon stick

1 teaspoon chilly flakes




To make dates spicy dip

Take a pan. Add dates, bay leaf, coriander seeds, cinnamon stick, 1 glass of water and boil it till dates become soft for about 5-7 minutes. Let it cool slightly.

Take out bay leaf and blend it finely. Add salt, chilly flakes and mix it well.

To make cheesy rolls

Take a bowl. Add butter, cheese, mint leaves, pepper, oregano and mix it well. 

Take a slice of bread. Remove the crust from all the sides. Press the slice slightly with rolling pin. Spread cheese mix on the slice and roll the slice. Same way prepare all the rolls.

Take a bowl. Add maida, pepper, salt, water and prepare thin batter.

Take a pan and heat oil. Dip the rolls in the batter and deep fry in small batches. Drain it on the kitchen towel.

Serve it with dates spicy dip.
