Chickpeas Bhalla

Chickpeas Bhalla

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 3


Ingredients

2 cups of boiled chickpeas (red)

6 big boiled potatoes

4 tablespoon of tapkir (arrowroot flour)

3 cups of curd

1 1/2  teaspoon of garam masala

2 teaspoon of red chilly powder

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon of roasted cumin seeds powder

2 teaspoon of sugar

Salt

Oil for frying

 

Method

Mash the boil potatoes, add tapkir (arrowroot flour) salt and mix it well. Make 6 equal balls.

Take boiled chickpeas, add salt, red chilly powder, garam masala, lemon juice and mix it well. Take one ball of potato mash. Wet your hands and spread it on your hand. Put the chickpeas mixture in the centre. Fold the potato puri from all the sides and cover it properly and make a ball.  Prepare all the balls.

Take a frying pan and deep fry all the balls.

Take curd, salt, sugar and mix it well. Take a bowl. Arrange all the chickpea balls and pour the curd on it.

Garnish it with red chilly powder and roasted cumin seeds powder.
