Corn-Veggie Biscuits

Ingredients

¾ cup cornmeal (Makai ka atta)

½ cup maida (all purpose flour)

1 ½ cup vegetables (chopped carrots and peas)

3 tablespoon of butter

2 teaspoon raisins

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoon sugar

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

¼ cup milk

 

Method

Par boil carrot and peas. Keep it aside.

Take a bowl. Add cornmeal, maida, salt, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, black pepper and mix it well.

Add butter, vegetables, raisins and mix it well. Add milk as per the need to knead soft dough. Keep it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set it.

Pre heat oven. Take a baking tray and grease it. Make small balls or any shape and slightly press it. Take a fork and from the bottom side of fork slightly press it on the ball to make the design. Arrange it on the tray.

Bake it for 15-20 minutes on 180 degree C, till it turns light brown. Bake in batches.

Let it cool completely. Store it in an air tight container.
