![]() Samosa Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 25 minutes Serves: 3 Ingredients For covering 1/2 cup maida/all purpose flour 1/2 cup wheat flour 3 tablespoon ghee 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper Salt For stuffing 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes 1/4 cup peas 1/4 cup finely chopped carrots 1/4 cup finely chopped onions 1 teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon red chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder Salt Oil for frying Method To make stuffing Take a pan. Add 1 teaspoon of oil and heat it. Add onions and saute it for about 3-4 minutes till it changes its colour. Add salt, garam masala, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix it well. Add mashed potatoes, peas, carrots and mix it well. Switch off the gas stove. To make the outer covering Take a bowl. Add both the flour, salt, pepper, ghee and mix it well. Add cold water and knead dough. Cover it and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Make 10-12 balls. Roll small puris from it. Cut each puri into half with a knife. Take one half and roll it to make a cone. Apply water on the edge and seal the sides. Fill up the cone with about 2-3 teaspoons of stuffing and seal the remaining side with water.Same way prepare all the samosas. Cover it with a wet cloth. Take a pan/kadai and heat oil. Deep fry samosas in small batches on a medium flame till it turns into light brown and crispy. Drain it on the absorbent paper.
