Serves: 4


3 cup idli batter

1 cup grated carrots

1 cup finely shredded cabbage

1 cup finely chopped onions

1 cup finely chopped red bell pepper/capsicum

2 teaspoon chaat masala

1 teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon red chilly powder

½ teaspoon lemon juice

A pinch of baking soda





 Take a bowl, add carrots, cabbage, onions, capsicum, chaat masala, red chilly powder, salt, lemon and mix it well.

Take batter, add salt, pepper, baking soda and mix it well.

Take a non-stick tawa/skillet and heat it. Put about ½ teaspoon of oil, one big serving spoon of batter and spread it. Sprinkle vegetable mixture and slightly press it with your hands. Cook it on both sides smearing it with oil on a medium flame till it is done.

Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or enjoy just like that.
